On Thursday 13 July, Melbourne Royal announced the results for the 2023 Australian Food Awards’ Sweet & Savoury Preserves category. Having not run for three years, the Sweet & Savoury Awards attracted 324 entries across 12 entry categories, awarding a number of Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals alongside three major Trophies.

After tasting a record number of entries – ranging from exotic jams to eye-watering chilli – the judges of the prestigious 2023 Melbourne Royal Australian Food Awards have today lifted the lid on which savoury and sweet preserves came out on top to win champion status.

Melbourne Royal is thrilled to announce entries are now open for the next Australian Food Awards program on the calendar; the Melbourne Royal Dairy Awards.

Moving forward all of our events, awards and competitions will be branded Melbourne Royal®. The suite of five food and beverage award programs will now include Melbourne Royal® before the name.
