The 2024 Melbourne Royal Australian Food Awards, which acknowledges and celebrates excellence in Australian food production, has concluded in spectacular fashion with over 500 Melbourne Royal Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and 16 Champion Trophies awarded at the official presentation event at the MasterChef Kitchen, Melbourne Showgrounds on Thursday 3 October.

Competitors really took the bull by the horns today! Day 8 of the Melbourne Royal showcased the impressive strength of award-winning cattle breeds alongside the grace and agility of champion dogs, highlighting the passion and dedication of breeders and exhibitors alike.

The spotlight was on the next generation of agricultural talent during day seven at the Melbourne Royal Show, with the ASA Nationals Youth Beef & Grain Championships taking centre stage. The Young Beef Victoria Calf Classic rounded off the competition day, followed by the prestigious Garryowen Equestrienne Turnout dinner.

On Tuesday 10 September, Melbourne Royal revealed its highly anticipated lineup of showbags for the 2024 Melbourne Royal Show as preparations are under way for Victoria’s most loved community and agricultural event from Thursday, 26 September until Sunday, 6 October.
