Showcase your Sheep Competition

Melbourne Royal® is excited to offer the sheep community the opportunity to be involved in the Showcase your Sheep Competition. The competition provides agricultural students and youth associated with a sheep stud, the chance to engage in an informal competition and celebrate their hard work throughout 2021.

Submissions will be judged across three age ranges:

  • Under 12
  • Ages 12-15
  • Ages 16-19

The winning submission for each age range will be featured on RASV social media and website. The video sets will be shared with schools, previous exhibitors of the Royal Melbourne Show. Don't miss out, competition entries open on Wednesday 1 September.

Showcase your Sheep Competition

Students will prepare a mock sales pitch video on a sheep of their choice from their own stud or commercial flock. The purpose of the video is to promote/market a sheep to prospective buyers. Students are encouraged to include relevant information that supports their sales pitch, a good visual of the animal, supporting evidence in the form of actual weights, performance data and the need for true and verifiable sales information.

NB: This is a mock sales pitch video and no sheep will be sold during this competition.
