It's a wrap. 2019 ADSA judging is over, now we wait for the Champion announcement
06 Mar 2019 / Spirits
Judging for the 2019 Australian Distilled Spirits Awards (ADSA) has wrapped up, after spanning two days at Melbourne Showgrounds.
The largest Australian distilled spirits and liqueur awards, the competition attracted more than 300 entries this year, a 14% increase on 2018, reflecting the burgeoning industry and increasing number of distillers across the country.
This year’s entries were assessed by 26 of Australia’s leading industry experts over the past two days, and scored based on appearance, nose, palate, balance and finish.
The awards offer entrants the opportunity to benchmark against set criteria; receive invaluable independent feedback from industry experts; and be rewarded for excellence in this growing sector.
The Champions of the ADSA will be spilled in Melbourne at the 2019 High Spirits celebrating the Australian Distilled Spirits Awards.
Thank you again to this year's ADSA judging panel led by Head Judge, Sam Bygrave, Australian Bartender Magazine.
