World’s Best Beers Crowned: Wedgetail Brewing’s Dark Lager Takes Top Spot

Wedgetail Brewing has proven its place at the top of Australia’s beer scene, winning Champion Australian Beer and Best Amber/Dark Lager for its traditional-style Dark Lager at the 2025 Australian International Beer Awards.
The brewery also earned the title of Champion Australian Independent Beer, solidifying its reputation as one of the country’s most outstanding craft brewers.
Meanwhile, Trumer Brewery from California took home Champion International Beer with its renowned Trumer Pils, which also wonBest Pilsner.
Winners of the Australian International Beer Awards were announced on Thursday 15 May at the Victorian Pavilion.
