Artist in Residence 2026
Are you a passionate artist (of any medium) looking to share your creativity with thousands of showgoers? We are seeking Expressions of Interest for the Artist in Residence position in the busy Makers Pavilion at the 2026 Melbourne Royal Show!
What we’re looking for:
- We’re seeking creatives to deliver a project (or projects) during the Melbourne Royal Show, running from 24 September to 4 October 2026.

A strong focus on community engagement, including interactive experiences and live demonstrations.
- A display of your work that visitors can enjoy throughout the Show
- Use of non-toxic, safe materials suitable for indoor use
- A valid Working with Children Check
About the space:
- Open daily from 10am to 4pm
- Approximately 3x4m in size
- Tables provided upon request
- Velcro-friendly walls for displaying artwork (please note: no drilling allowed)
