Mr Jason O’Loghlin

A winning streak for Wiltshire Horns

Jason O'Loghlin, hailing from Blighty in NSW, has made significant contributions to the Melbourne Royal Show, particularly in the Wiltshire Horn breed. His journey began in 1992, and since then, he has played various roles, including breed captain, steward, and judge.

O'Loghlin's accomplishments are impressive, with his notable achievement being a clean sweep in the feature breed section at the 2019 Melbourne Royal Show, where he won the Supreme Exhibit Wiltshire Horn for the sixth consecutive time with a one-year-old ewe, which also claimed the champion ewe title.

In 2019 O’Loghlin also took out the champion Wiltshire Horn ram, Wiltshire Horn breeders group, Wiltshire Horn group of four and Wiltshire Horn sires progeny. His success helped him claim the Wiltshire Horn breeders plate for most successful exhibitor.

Having been breeding impressive Wiltshire Horn sheep since 2002, O'Loghlin says that events such as the Melbourne Royal Show are an effective platform for not only showcasing his own stock, but for benchmarking against other breeders.

With a string of achievements and an unwavering commitment to his Wiltshire Horn stud, Jason O'Loghlin continues to leave a lasting impact on the Melbourne Royal Show and the wider sheep breeding community.
