Mrs Heather Stoney

Heather Stoney is an accomplished sheep breeder and dedicated participant in the Melbourne Royal Show.

Heather's journey with the Show began in the late 1980s when she joined as an exhibitor with her Border Leicester stud.

Over the years Mrs Stoney has gained confidence and showcased her sheep in the novice classes, becoming a regular exhibitor in the event. With the exception of the unfortunate cancellations due to COVID-19, she has exhibited at the Show every year since.

She has won championships in the Border Leicester breed and achieved the remarkable feat of winning the supreme sheep of the Show in 2022.

Mrs Stoney is also proud of her role in revitalising the sheep section as a member of the Sheep Committee since 2010, where she helped promote the section and improve the exhibitor experience. Her exceptional contributions to the Show were recognised with the prestigious Speed The Plough Medal.

Mrs Stoney’s passion for sheep breeding and her commitment to the Melbourne Royal Show have made her a respected figure in the sheep community.
