Major Awards

Grand Champion Female, Grand Champion Bull

Junior and Senior Champions for each breed compete for their respective titles of Grand Champion. The Grand Champion Female and Bull are lined up to determine the Supreme Breed Exhibit. 

Supreme Beef Exhibit 

All Junior and Senior Breed Champions are eligible to compete for their respective titles of Supreme Junior and Senior Beef Breed Heifer, Female and Bull. 

The Supreme Junior Beef Breed Heifer, the Supreme Senior Beef Breed Female, the Supreme Junior Beef Breed Bull and Supreme Senior Beef Breed Bull all compete for the ultimate accolade of Supreme Beef Exhibit in Show. 

Matthew George Young Stockman award

The Matthew George Young Stockman award is presented annually at the Melbourne Royal Show. The award provides young people with an overseas study tour of beef cattle properties to view their breeding programs and practices.
