When is arrival?

Monday 29 September to Tuesday 30 September 2025.

When is judging?

Wednesday 1 October to Sunday 5 October 2025.

What is the feature breed?

The feature breed for 2025 is Simmental.

How do I enter into the Melbourne Royal Youth Handler Competition?

Refer to page 36 of the Beef Cattle Schedule for entry information and classes.

What if my Cattle’s breed is not listed in the Schedule?

If there are no classes specific to your exhibiting breed, you can enter into the “Any Other Breed Small” or “Any Other Breed Large” sections. Please note all exhibits must be registered with their relevant Breed Society.

What are the veterinary prerequisites for exhibits?

All exhibits must have tested negative to Pestivirus and results connected to each exhibit must be provided for entry confirmation. All exhibits must have tested negative for Johnes Disease or alternatively be from a property with an implemented Biosecurity Plan.

Exhibitors must also provide a completed National Cattle Health Declaration (see example in Schedules and Forms).

When will I receive my exhibitor pack?

On arrival to the Livestock Pavilion, please present to the Superintendent office with your Vendor Declaration, where you will receive your exhibitor pack, Show passes and locker key (if applicable).
