When do Poultry entries open and close?

Entries for the Melbourne Royal Poultry Competition open on Wednesday 25 June 2025 and will close on Wednesday 13 August 2025.

When will the schedule be available online?

The schedule for the Melbourne Royal Poultry Competition is available now and can be viewed under Schedules and Forms.​

When is judging?

Judging for the Melbourne Royal Poultry Competition will take place at the Melbourne Showgrounds on Wednesday September 24 2025. 

Can I attend judging?

Exhibitors are welcome to attend judging. 

When and where do I deliver my birds?

Poultry can be delivered to the Melbourne Showgrounds on either Tuesday 23 September or Wednesday 24 September. 

If delivering on 23 September, birds must be delivered between 1:00pm and 6:00pm, with penning to be completed by 7:00pm. 

If delivering on 24 September, birds must be delivered between 7:00am and 9:00am, with penning to be completed by 9:30am. 

Vehicle access is via Gate 7. 

When and where can I collect my birds?

Poultry can be collected from the Showgrounds on Monday 6 October between 7:00am and 12:00pm.

When is the Melbourne Royal Show?

The dates for the 2025 Melbourne Royal Show are Thursday 25 September – Sunday 5 October. Poultry exhibits will be on display for the duration of Show. 

How can I get a printed catalogue?

Printed catalogues may only be pre-purchased upon entry. The Poultry Catalogue will also be available online.
