Eileen Bartram

Garryowen winner Eileen Bartram with Invader. Eileen Bartram won the Garryowen in 1940 riding Invader. Eileen Bartram’s daughter Mary de Crespigny (nee Bartram) placing 2nd in the 1946 Garryowen and also the winner of the Junior Garryowen event which was only held once before being renamed. Mary de Crespigny is in the Garryowen Hall of Fame and also a winner of the prestigious RASV Presidents medal. Eileen’s granddaughter Sue de Crespigny also competed in the Garryowen and judged the Garryowen and many other turnout events at the Royal Melbourne Show.
