Planning for the 2026 Melbourne Royal Show is well underway, with strong momentum across all areas of the event as we build towards another outstanding Show for the Victorian community.

There’s nothing like the thrill of winning at the Melbourne Royal Show. Last year, over 2,200 coveted blue ribbons were awarded — from elite livestock to champion riders, skilled woodchoppers to passionate artisans.

We have started 2026 with great enthusiasm, energy and optimism. I am delighted to share with you some exciting organisational changes at Melbourne Royal. The organisational changes implemented to start the new year include the appointment of Hannah von Bibra to the role of Executive General Manager, Melbourne Royal Show and Sam Buckley to the role of Executive General Manager, Melbourne Showgrounds.

Congratulations to Victorian Agricultural Shows Chairperson, Vivian Beaumont who was recently awarded the Medal of Order of Australia as a part of the 2026 Australia Day Honours for his service to the community through a range of roles.
