Stage 2 of the 30-year vision community and stakeholder engagement was held during November. Three workshops were held with the RASV Board, Committee and Industry Advisory Group representatives, food and beverage stakeholders, staff, local residents and interested public as well as a public webinar.

To inform the development of the future of Melbourne Showgrounds, the first round of community and stakeholder consultation was held from July to August 2020. These earlier workshops were designed to specifically hear the community and stakeholder thoughts on what works well and what could be improved about the current Melbourne Showgrounds layout and design.

The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) is pleased to release the findings from the first phase of the community and stakeholder consultation for the Melbourne Showgrounds master plan – Our Showgrounds, Our Future.

A number of events scheduled for 2020 at Melbourne Showgrounds have unfortunately been cancelled or been postponed.

The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) is developing a master plan for Melbourne Showgrounds to shape Our Showgrounds, Our Future.  The Andrews Labor Government provided $1.5 million to the RASV in 2019 to develop a master plan to ensure the precinct can best serve the needs of Victorians now and for generations to come.
